Wow!

It’s already Day 4. Great job! You are learning some new things about how your brain and porn go hand in hand, then we did a self discovery exercise on Day 2, and then yesterday we took a powerful step in rewiring our brain – meditating on some truth so it can replace those false beliefs.

For a guy overcoming a porn problem, it’s not going to be an over night deal. You are not going to overcome it just by reading your Bible more or even locking up your devices. It’s going to take all of that, and then some. You must have a holistic approach.

First, check out this video from The Freedom Fight: The Holistic Approach

I get fired up watching this video! Not only do we learn that freedom is attainable but we learn what happens by going through the process of getting free: we will become more emotionally aware, more spiritually minded, and socially connected.

Can you imagine a nation full of men who have gone through this process?!

Next, click here to respond to the questions below on our Forum. Remember, sharing your thoughts not only helps you. It helps others who are working this challenge as well.

Questions to think through from the video:

  1. Which of the four areas (physical, emotional, spiritual, social) are you most interested in exploring? Why?
  2. Why do you think that the most successful addiction recovery programs have a significant spiritual component?
  3. Ted said, “Addiction strives in isolation.”  Why do you think this is the case?
  4. Why do you think it is important to process your addiction with others in order to find freedom?
