Speaker 1:                           00:07                     The trends we see in a sexual dysfunction caused by pornography is that the effects of porn on adolescence is more profound and takes longer to overcome. Then for those of the older generation, a porn user in his forties or 50s who has porn induced erectile dysfunction can stop his porn use and cure his ed much quicker than a man in his twenties with the same issue. Why is this? The reason seems to be that the middle aged man has a different sexual history and the pornography he was exposed to as a young man is much different than the porn that today’s youth is being raised on. The middle aged man tends to have a higher ratio of sexual experiences with real women compared to the porn he consumed, so now when he stops the porn, his brain has a frame of reference to return to more quickly.

Speaker 1:                           00:58                     Today’s youth raised on high speed internet pornography from earlier ages have had their arousal templates shaped in a deeper and more profound way than earlier generations. We want to take a brief look at the porn history game changers that got us here. The first pornographic magazine hit newsstands in 1953 over the decades that followed, many more magazines were added along with videos and other avenues to sell sex. During this time, the government had indecency laws that kept pornography out of the public eye and away from minors unless a kid found his dad’s stash of magazines or videos, minors were relatively shielded from pornography. During this time, men had to brave the embarrassment of buying a pornographic magazine or video in a public place. This all changed with the advent of the internet. In the early 1990s through the internet, porn became accessible, affordable, and anonymous for millions of people.

Speaker 1:                           01:55                     Instantly. In 1996 there was a Supreme court decision that struck down in decency laws on the internet. In a five four decision, the court ruled that pornography was protected as free speech. After that decision, the sewage that is internet pornography started this massive flow into our lives and homes. Most parents didn’t have a filter on their computer and the homes that did could be easily circumvented by a tech savvy kid. Millions of men began their porn addiction. Over the next decade. The next game changer came in 2006 with high speed internet. Up until then, most pornography on the internet was still pictures and the videos had to be downloaded, which took awhile and carried the risk of computer viruses, men who are watching internet videos prior to 2006 we’re watching one at a time with a build up to the most intense hardcore scenes with high speed internet.

Speaker 1:                           02:51                     It became possible to click through an endless buffet of video clips. The porn industry created YouTube like sites that allowed to watch the most intense scenes from multiple videos, one after the other. The possibility of watching intense hardcore pornographic videos for hours at a time became a reality for millions overnight. Listen to the immediate impact on these users. I looked at pictures for years, well over a decade and video clips from time to time, but when tube sites became my daily fare, it was only shortly afterward that I developed ed problems. I think the tube sites with the endless clips immediately accessible through my brain into overload. The tube sites are the crack cocaine of internet pornography. There are so much of it, so much new content every day, every hour, every 10 minutes that I was always able to find constant news, stimulation, high-speed porn changed everything.

Speaker 1:                           03:54                     I began masturbating more than once a day. I found myself looking at porn prior to sex with my wife because she just couldn’t do it for me anymore. The last game changer came in 2008 with the advent of the smart phone, high-speed porn became available 24 seven to millions of youth at increasingly younger ages. Parents can still put limits and filters on the smartphone, but few know how to lock it up completely. This is why the smartphone has become the number one way that teens watch porn today. A recent survey that our team conducted of college men from multiple campuses found that for 80% of them the smartphone was their primary means to access pornography. It is easier for a 12 year old boy with a smart phone to watch hardcore porn than it is for him to get a drink of water because he actually has to get up to get a drink of water.

Speaker 1:                           04:46                     Today’s pornography is the ultimate buffet that the smartphone has made available anytime, anywhere. Millions of youth all over the world had their own personal hardcore pornographic theater in their presence. 24 seven we have instructions after this video about how to lock up your smartphone if you haven’t taken that step yet. A whole generation of adolescents is having their sexuality shape by a potent form and amount of pornography. Unprecedented in history, the sexual dysfunctions of ed, loss of interest and inability to enjoy real sex should be expected on an even larger scale in the future. This is much different than the porn that the middle aged man grew up on. Dr. Norman Doidge wrote, we are in the midst of a revolution in sexual and romantic taste. Unlike any in history, a social experiment being performed on children and teenagers. The level of porn exposure is quite new.

Speaker 1:                           05:45                     We were on the front end of a coming tsunami of young men and women who have had their sexual education through high speed internet porn. With all its excesses and perversions. When today’s boys raised on porn become men, they will bring a sexuality shaped by pornography into their future marriages that previous generations didn’t have to deal with. It will take his brain longer to detox and renew so that he can experience a normal sexual relationship. The middle aged man has less unlearning to do, which seems to be why his dysfunction, because of porn is more easily corrected. Those who say that pornography has always been around and that it’s always been the same, don’t understand the game changers
