Speaker 1:                           00:00                     All right. All right. It’s November and you guys still have an amazing conference and I want to help you guys get people there. So at this point, you guys probably have a good number of people signed up, but you’re probably have a lot of people that have not signed up yet that you’re thinking, gosh, I want this person to go, uh, you’re still meeting new people. That man, it’s November our conferences a month or two away. How do I get this person signed up? So I want to give you guys some special tips, uh, for the month of November, uh, to get the people that you really care about that you know, will have a, uh, life changing time at your conference. So here we go. Step number one, let me move over there. You need to celebrate and be grateful for who, who has signed up so far?

Speaker 1:                           00:52                     So it’s easy to be thinking to be thinking about all the people that haven’t signed up, but look at the number of people that have signed up. And then it doesn’t matter what that number is, who the people are, uh, be grateful for who has signed up and just spend some time, uh, praising God, thanking God, uh, and thinking about those people and just being so thankful that those people have signed up. And again, in our first year at this point, we had 10 people signed up and we were so grateful and it gave us this attitude of wow, like, I can’t believe this number of people are going. And we ended up having 28 people signed up, which was a great number for us. And then there was a couple of years later we were having two or 300 people signed up and it did not matter the number we were grateful for us signed up.

Speaker 1:                           01:40                     And that attitude leaked over like our student leaders, our staff, everybody just kind of, it was a great attitude to have. Uh, not this pressure of, Oh my gosh, like we got to get so-and-so signed up or our numbers are down. No, just be grateful for who God has given you so far. Uh, and then number two is have the attitude that God is going to get the people signed up that needs to be signed up. So this will really take the pressure off of you and just trust that it doesn’t matter the number of people that are at your conference. It doesn’t matter, uh, who, uh, if that key guy is there or not and you just have to trust on the day that our conference starts. This is who’s supposed to be here. And God got the right people there. Now up every day, up until up until that first day of your conference, you have that attitude of I don’t know who’s supposed to be there on the first day of our conference.

Men want to stop looking at porn, or overcoming porn or masturbation, because they know that looking at porn and mastrubating  can be a bad habit. They things like joining the no fap movement (nofap), covenant eyes, xxx church (xxxchurch), the freedom fight, pure desire, 7 pillars,  the conquer series, the endurance, 30 day challenge, fight the new drug, or a counselor. Sometimes these help guys with purity but sometimes it does not.

Speaker 1:                           02:32                     So I’m going to do everything I can to invite people and let them know about this conference. So my tip, uh, uh, for November goes along with this. You can control invites, but you can’t control signups. You can not make people sign up for your conference. You can control how many people are personally invited. And there is a very strong correlation between the number of people who will actually go to your conference and the number of people who get invited. So you need to make an invite goal. And so this could be a really fun goal for you and your staff. You can bring your student leaders in on this and have each of them do it individually. And then if they’re in different groups, whether it’s a team or fraternity, say, Hey, how many people can we invite? Uh, and you have to make a different for each person because every group is different.

Speaker 1:                           03:25                     Uh, and every person is different. So there were people in our ministry that if they invited three people, I was like fired up. Like, Hey, that’s a big one. And then I had people at our ministry that were just not more spiritual. They were just naturally more outgoing and, uh, just natural salespeople. Uh, so for me to tell them, Hey, you need to do three people, it would be, it wouldn’t be enough. So I really try to let those people run and make a high goal for the people who are really good at it and really just naturally do it. Um, and so it’s really a faith thing. You know, how much faith do you need to invite 20 people or invite 30 people or 50 people? And for the same thing, that person who’s made me not as outgoing, uh, maybe they have to take a lot of faith to get three people.

Speaker 1:                           04:17                     And so you really want to celebrate individually, um, where they’re at and they can control how many people they invite. And so celebrate that, uh, which is our next side. Celebrate invites first and then celebrate signup second. And so, and really this has to really be true. Um, just get excited, um, and be totally okay that if you invite 200 more people and not one person more signs up, like we’re just going to celebrate. Wow, this is amazing. 200 people heard about our conference and on the back end of that they’re going to ask, Hey, how did that conference go? And it gives you an amazing opportunity to share that about that conference and then ultimately the gospel. Uh, so I think that’s a great reason to invite people because you know, on the backend you’re going to want to take the things that you’ve applied from that conference and start telling your friends about, uh, Jesus.

Speaker 1:                           05:11                     And one of the ways to invite them to the conference, let them tell you know that. But on the backend there, they’re going to be able to say, well, how’d that conference go? Uh, so, um, celebrate invites first, celebrate signup second and far. I think if you guys do this and just focus on inviting people, uh, to your conference, uh, you’ll see the number of people, uh, and the number of the right people. You’ll see more of them sign up. But at the end of the day, um, you don’t know. And so it’s just a win if you invite them. So I hope you guys get more and more of, uh, the people that you love and care about. Sign up for your conference.
